I said that by Christmas I'd have it all figured out... and I'm only 2 days late!
As part of my big revamp I'm moving! My new blog address is www.jessdean.wordpress.com. If you are making this move with me, I thank you for your support and look forward to a new year together!
Thanks,
Jessica

Top 5
I thought I'd stop in and give you a list of the blogs that I frequent and why I love them! Here are my Top 5:
1. First and foremost is Ali Edwards. This is my go to place for inspiration. Ali has two blogs at her website - one is just life stuff and one is scrappy projects. Everyday when I check these it's like a little present of inspiration.
2. Oh Frannson. Now, I'm not a sewer. YET. One day I will be, and when I am, this will be my inspiration. I frequently check Elizabeth Hartman's blog for inspiration and ideas for all of the projects I will make when I get the sewing machine fixed and figure out how to use it.
3. Soupbelly. This is where I go to get recipes when I'm stuck in a rut. Candy always has something that I'd like (usually with more calories than I need...) She's not updating as much right now because she just had a baby, but search her archives for some ideas if you find yourself searching for dinner this week.
4. Elise Blaha. I love reading Elise Blaha Cripe's blog on life. Her posts vary from what she did this weekend to what she's eating to what she's making, but it's always a good read that inspires me to be better. Just better, no matter what the topic. I discovered Elise's blog via Ali Edwards, but now they both are staples on my blog list.
5. KWerner Design. Kristina Werner has some of the prettiest, most creative cards out there. Mondays and Fridays are special video tutorial days with "Make a Card Money" and "Finally Friday" videos showing how to make a card. She also does the "A Year in Cards" class over at 2peas and designs for Basic Grey. I'm constantly checking for new ideas, especially around the holidays - which are coming up soon!!!!

A year later...
Life has been changing, I've been super busy, and this was something easy to cut. I'm starting an overhaul of this blog (as you can see with the new background, organization, etc.) so hopefully by Christmas I'll have it all sorted out. Be on the lookout for new posts on crafty stuff like always, but also food, gardening, and possibly other exciting adventures that come up.

November Already?
I have not done much in the way of creating since this summer. I know that's bad, but I have been so busy with school and just life in general that I haven't had the chance. But I made the time this weekend to do something! I have been following Ali Edwards blog for quite sometime and every year she does this amazing project called the December Daily. For more information on the project and to see how she did it last year, please check out this page. This weekend, while I sat with candy waiting for trick-or-treaters that never came, I made all the base pages for the album. All I have left to do is create front and back covers and buy rings. I haven't hole-punched any of the pages yet, but I will bind them all with 2" rings once I get everything done. I'll post pictures of all my pages next weekend.

Recipe Album
Lots of stuff
I think I am going to separate this into two posts. I have a few layouts from Let's Scrap and then in my next post I have a Recipe Album.
First Layout - Puppy Love
Second Layout - Going Wild
Third Layout - Love life laughter
TFL! I'll post the recipe album in a few minutes.

Two New Layouts!
Wow! I would have never believed I would be so busy doing what seems like nothing. I haven't really done much with my crafting since I got out of school. I made a layout yesterday and another one today.
Yesterday's layout:
I am really pleased with how this turned out. It took me forever to pick the papers and how I was going to lay it out... for such a simple page, it really took a lot of work.
This was my first attempt at ribbon pleating. I think it looks really good.
The layout I did today is based on Cheri's layout for the week on Let's Scrap. I LOVE this sketch.
TFL!!
