November Already?

I have not done much in the way of creating since this summer. I know that's bad, but I have been so busy with school and just life in general that I haven't had the chance. But I made the time this weekend to do something! I have been following Ali Edwards blog for quite sometime and every year she does this amazing project called the December Daily. For more information on the project and to see how she did it last year, please check out this page. This weekend, while I sat with candy waiting for trick-or-treaters that never came, I made all the base pages for the album. All I have left to do is create front and back covers and buy rings. I haven't hole-punched any of the pages yet, but I will bind them all with 2" rings once I get everything done. I'll post pictures of all my pages next weekend.

Recipe Album

I've been working on a recipe album for me to keep all of my favorite recipes in. I bought a lot of the Bo Bunny Splendor Line to make this and I LOVE the way it turned out!!!

Thanks for looking!!!

Lots of stuff

I think I am going to separate this into two posts. I have a few layouts from Let's Scrap and then in my next post I have a Recipe Album.

First Layout - Puppy Love

Second Layout - Going Wild

Third Layout - Love life laughter

TFL! I'll post the recipe album in a few minutes.

Two New Layouts!

Wow! I would have never believed I would be so busy doing what seems like nothing. I haven't really done much with my crafting since I got out of school. I made a layout yesterday and another one today.

Yesterday's layout:

I am really pleased with how this turned out. It took me forever to pick the papers and how I was going to lay it out... for such a simple page, it really took a lot of work.

This was my first attempt at ribbon pleating. I think it looks really good.

The layout I did today is based on Cheri's layout for the week on Let's Scrap. I LOVE this sketch.

TFL!!

Wow... it's been a while!

I have been so busy, I haven't really had a chance to put new posts on here. I did three layouts today, but I can only really claim two of them. The first two were part of the prize pack I got from Let's Scrap when I won a few weeks ago. The pages were just copies but when I added pictures, you can't even tell. I love the way they turned out.

The other layout I did was based off this week's sketch on Let's Scrap. The pictures are from our trip to the Biltmore House last summer.

Don't Blame Me, It was my Sister

Here is my take on the newest sketch from Julie over at 52 Sketches 52 Weeks. I know it is hard to read (almost impossible), but the title comes from the saying on her shirt.

Here are a few close-ups. The journaling reads: I couldn't believe when you showed up for our vacation wearing this shirt. If anything, I should have a shirt that says this. P.S. This wonderful pose was me turning around and snapping this when we left for Asheville (Summer 2008).

Birthday Bash Weekend at Let's Scrap!

I've been having so much fun with the birthday bash over at Let's Scrap! We've had games (I didn't win either one, but they were fun!) and challenges galore! Here is my LO for KimmyJ's Recipe Challenge. The recipe called for a page that used:
One of Cheri's Sketches off the Let's Scrap site
3 Patterned Papers
3 Flowers
4 of one other embellishment (all the same).

I used ShabbyPrincess' "Happy Go Lucky" kit. It is my favorite right now!

Here is the sketch I used:

And here is my page:

I used three patterned papers (the stripe, the orange circle, and the red paint), the three yarn flowers, and four brown buttons. I'm not sure I did the challenge exactly right since I also have brown "cardstock" as backing and the stitching and ribbons. I'm not sure if you are ONLY supposed to use the things in the recipe... oh well! I enjoyed making the page anyway and I LOVE the way it turned out!

Thanks for stopping by!
Hope everyone has had an amazing Saturday!!

Jessica

OLW Layout

Here is my layout for the OLW challenge. I know I already posted it, but I wanted to put a better version of it up. Check out the website HERE - it has some great inspiration.

Another week down!

I feel bad that I am already counting down the days until school is out, but I am so ready for the summer! I feel so busy all the time, even though I don't really DO anything. I've done two new digi pages this week that I'm going to post along with one I did last week! I've done them all based off of Cheri's sketches on Let's Scrap - I love that place!!!

Here is the first sketch:

And here is my take on it:
